MAKING
1. Beat together the butter and the sugar until light
and fluffy, gradually beat in the egg.
2.Sift in flour and baking powder and, using a large metal spoon, fold into the creamed mixture.
3. Add 1 tbsp of water if the mixture is stiff.

4. Stir in the chocolate and nuts.
5. Drop large teaspoons of the mixture onto a baking tray, spacing them well apart and bake for
15 mins.
6. You may have to cook the biscuits in batches.
7. Leave to cool on the tray for about a minute, before transferring to a wirerack to cool
completely.
